Make No Mis-Steak! with Chef Tom Douglas

In this annual class we explore the different grades of classic Rib Roast, both by grade and by cooking techniques. Life is too short to get “shorted” on fake names such as “Prime” Rib when it’s really "Choice" grade mislabeled intentionally. Why would one pay for Wagyu when charcoal roasting fools your taste buds into a higher grade….or does it?

In this class we will explore 3 different grades of beef rib steak/roast with all the fixings we have come to enjoy at classic steakhouses. We will also taste three different varietals of “steak” wine. You choose the perfect match.

Warning…beef is not cheap so no “mooing” about the price!

Upon arriving, you'll be greeted with our Half Shell Raw Bar, featuring Ophelia oysters on the half shell, Scallop Aguachile, and BBQ Peel & Eat Prawns. For the first course, you'll get the Kenny's Table Side Caesar Salad, followed by a demonstration and substantial tastes of rib roasts of different grades -- starting off with a high heat and gently cooked Standing Rib Roast, a reverse cooking method of low, then high heat Prime Rib Roast, followed by a Wagyu Rib Roast cooked low and slow. That is not all! You will also receive a tasting of Chef Tom Douglas's Charcoal Roasted Choice Rib Roast Chop, accompanied with Black Peppercorn Au Jus on the side. 

A steakhouse class is not complete without the quintessential steakhouse sides. Along with your steak spread, you will get an assortment of sides, such as the Salt Rubbed Russet Baker Potatoes, a decadently Creamy Ruby Chard, Saba Roasted Carrots with Pumpkin Seeds, and of course, what's a steakhouse without Buttered Button Mushrooms

After a night of delicious wine and mouthwatering steak, you'll finish off your meal with a dessert of Valrhona Chocolate Torte with Strawberry Whipped Cream.

Ticket price is per 1 person.  If you register separately from the person (or people) with whom you are attending, please let us know in advance so we can make sure we seat you with your party. 

Refund policy: Once a class is purchased it is non-refundable. The ownership, however, is yours and you may send someone else in your stead.
