Kamayan: A Filipino Feast With Chef Rasyidah Rosli
October 3 2026 | 5:30 PM - 8:00 PM2000 4th Ave, Seattle, WA 98121
A Kamayan dinner is more than a meal, it's a celebration of togetherness, generosity, and Filipino tradition. Guests are invited to experience a communal feast served atop fresh banana leaves, where vibrant Filipino dishes are beautifully arranged down the center of the table and shared family-style. This traditional style of dining brings people together to enjoy not only exceptional food but also the warmth of community and connection.
The menu features fragrant Garlic Rice, crispy Lumpiang Shanghai (Pork Egg Rolls), savory Tortang Talong (Charred Eggplant Omelette), perfectly crisp Lechon Kawali (Deep-Fried Pork Belly), and flavorful Vegetable Pancit. Each dish is demonstrated before guests have the opportunity to taste and enjoy it, offering a deeper appreciation for the techniques, flavors, and stories behind these beloved Filipino classics.
The word Kamayan comes from the Filipino word kamay, meaning "hand," reflecting the tradition of sharing a meal with your hands as you gather around the table with family and friends. Every bite celebrates the rich flavors, warm hospitality, and vibrant culture of the Philippines, creating an unforgettable dining experience where food, tradition, and community come together.
Guests will be greeted with Coconut Shrimp and Sweet Chili Sauce to enjoy during the demonstration and substantial tastes of the following menu items.
