Tired of the same-old, same old?  Try thinking about lunch in a whole new way and sign up for Lunch Club!  In the same hour that you usually spend chomping down a sandwich while you look at your phone, you can be seated at Hot Stove Society while Chef Instructor Bridget cooks lunch for you!

For this edition of Lunch Club, Bridget will show you how to prepare a classic Venetian meal, inspired by Harry’s Bar.  Harry's Bar was opened in 1931 by the bartender Giuseppe Cipriani. It became one of the world’s most celebrated restaurants and a favorite haunt of the famous (such as writer Ernest Hemingway).  Two Venetian classics that originated at Harry’s Bar are Beef Carpaccio and the Bellini.

Bridget will show you how to make carpaccio the classic way: thinly sliced and pounded raw beef in a mustard dressing, beautifully decorated with fennel leaves, Parmesan, and other garnishes. You’ll start lunch with crispy fried calamari, and you’ll end with Zaeti cookies, another Venetian classic.

Bridget will also show you how to make a Peach Bellini, which will be available for purchase. You’ll want to know how to make this refreshing summer cocktail because it’s the perfect recipe for entertaining as we head into stone fruit season.
