Mussels and Clams

Tired of the same-old, same old?  Try thinking about lunch in a whole new way and sign up for Lunch Club!  In the same hour that you usually spend chomping down a sandwich while you look at your phone, you can be seated at Hot Stove Society while Hot Stove Instructor Jamie Freedman cooks lunch for you!

For this edition of Lunch Club, Jamie is going to show you how to cook some of her favorite local shellfish: clams and mussels. Sake and bacon bring out the deliciousness of clams, and mussels are wonderful when prepared with beluga lentils and cream.  You’ll start off lunch with a fried parsnip salad and you’ll finish with a lovely lemon almond tart.

Go ahead and treat yourself to a special way to go out for lunch. Better yet, find a buddy and make it a lunch date!

  • Fried parsnip salad with duck fat dressing and arugula
  • Sake clams with bacon and mussels with beluga lentils and cream
  • Lemon almond tart with raspberry sauce
