Tired of the same-old, same old?  Try thinking about lunch in a whole new way and sign up for Lunch Club.  In the same hour that you usually spend chomping down a sandwich while you look at your phone, you can be seated at Hot Stove Society while Hot Stove Instructor Jamie Freedman cooks lunch for you!

For this edition of lunch club, Jamie has created an amazing three course menu with something delectably porky in every course! To start, Jamie will show you how to make the savory Japanese pancake called okonomiyaki.  Jamie makes her version with bacon and shrimp. The second course features pork belly, one of the trendy chef’s favorite ingredients right now.  Jamie will show you how to braise pork belly and how to make it crispy, and then you’ll enjoy it with winter greens and fried kabocha squash.  Even dessert gets some porky deliciousness, as Jamie will show you how to make pork fat beignets with cinnamon sugar.  If that sounds odd to you, remember that grandma or great grandma might well have used lard instead of butter in her pastry crust.
