Director Lexi Ochoa wants to show you how to make a truly magnificent cake!  Sweet: Desserts from London’s Ottolenghi is one of Lexi’s favorite cookbooks, and she has chosen the stunning Lemon and Blackberry Stripe Cake as the centerpiece of this class.  You’ll make this magical cake from start to finish and take it home!

Here are the secrets to this cake: a silky buttercream is colored and flavored with a beautiful berry puree. Then you slather a strip of sponge cake with the buttercream and roll it up like a coiled barrel. The outside is iced with buttercream, but when you slice into the finished cake you’ll find the buttercream filled layers inside are vertical rather than horizontal!

You’ll also get to make Rosewater and Cardamom Shortbread dipped in chocolate, hands on.
