Our friend, accomplished tech and Chef de Partie, Doug Watkins just returned from Rome and is eager to share the dishes that inspired him.

Roman cuisine focuses on the quality of the ingredients with  simple preparations that produce memorable results. As in Rome, the carbonara will be made with Italian dried pasta.

  • Taste – Upon Arrival – Focaccia Toasts with Mortadella and Interesting Italian Olives
  • Demo – Fall Caprese Salad.  Roasted and Smoked Tomatoes, Mozzarella, Oregano/Thyme/Pumpkin Seed Pesto.
  • Hands-On – One of the classic pastas of Rome - Pasta Carbonara. 
  • Demo – Sautéed Chicoria with garlic and peperocino
  • Demo – Lemon Budino

Wine and beers available for purchase. Payments accepted via card only.

Safety: In compliance with state and federal directive, it is our policy to verify vaccination status for all events at Hot Stove Society. Proof of vaccination will be required for entry for everyone over 12 years of age. We require that you bring a mask to wear when you are moving about in our kitchen and may remove it when eating. Our staff is fully vaccinated and will wear masks except when presenting on the demonstration stage. Effective 10/04/2021.

Refund Policy:  Once a class is purchased it is non-refundable.  The ownership, however, is yours and you may send someone else in your stead.
