“A whole grain is one of nature’s many ingenious creations: compact, sturdy, self-sufficient and, fortunately for us animals – delicious and nutritious.”  The opening salvo in Josh McFadden’s new book. This book is one that blew the Hot Stove Team away!  The book is jam packed with all sorts of information about grains, ratios, how to cook, how to store, nutritional information and then (!) a ton of great recipes with each grain!  Wow.  The book covers buckwheat, quinoa, wheat cousins, different rice, and millet to name a few.  With inflation going up, join Chef Bridget Charters and the Hot Stove Team and learn new ways to work with grain and save your food budget. 

Guests will be greeted with a taste of the Wild Rice Salad with Beets, Cucumbers and Dill and some of the Super Crisp Flatbread with Tzatziki.

Learn about classical grain techniques such as pilaf, fried cakes, grain mixes, doughs

Ticket price is per 1 person. Beverages will be available for purchase. Payment accepted via card only.

Health & Safety: We no longer require proof of Covid vaccination but we prefer that you are vaccinated.  Masks are optional.  Effective 6/6/2022 and subject to change.

Refund Policy:  Once a class is purchased it is non-refundable.  The ownership, however, is yours and you may send someone else in your stead.

Please let us know about any allergens or dietary restrictions ahead of time to best accommodate you. Note that some classes require specific ingredients in the recipes and may not be offered any substitutions.
