Chris Schwarz, Tom Douglas Restaurants Executive Corporate Chef is the man who teaches our own line cooks how to cook, and he loves making BBQ!  We’ll greet you with a ‘pitcher cocktail’, perfect for a BBQ party, and you’ll enjoy substantial tastes of everything Chris demos as you gain insight into the heart and soul of true ‘cue.  You’ll also get to make a container of your own special spice rub and take it home with you.

  • BBQ Pork shoulder- learn about the cuts of pork, which seasonings and rubs to use, and how to slow cook on the grill or BBQ
  • BBQ Pork Ribs and how to make rubs for ribs
  • BBQ sauces- learn about how to make sauces from some of America’s most passionate BBQ states: Carolina, Alabama, Texas, and Georgia
  • Sides and accompaniments for BBQ: Perfect BBQ baked beans, coleslaw, and lemon coconut slab cake for dessert!
  • Wondering what to do with leftover BBQ meat? make Brunswick stew
