Our First Ever Gnocchi Class
Our customers have been begging Bridget to offer a gnocchi class and she finally agreed. This was our first ever class on making the dreamy, soft-as-pillows Italian dumplings and Bridget pulled it off brilliantly!
Bridget demoed both potato and spinach-ricotta gnocchi. She showed us how to make and shape gnocchi and how to use a gnocchi board or a fork to give the gnocchi their characteristic decorative marks. We also learned how to make tomato butter sauce and brown butter sauce, and we all enjoyed a super delicious taste of the sauced gnocchi.
Then classmates split into teams of two to make their own potato gnocchi, which they got to take home.
Bridget told us that gnocchi should be “as light as a woman’s heart.” Judging from her gnocchi, Bridget’s heart is light indeed! We can’t wait for the next gnocchi class!
